Anne Hathaway was devastated with nerves before shooting his new film a romantic day because she had to develop a northern accent English.
The Devil Wears Prada star fell in love with the role of a Yorkshire-born Emma in the film, an adaptation of David Nicholls' 2009 novel.
Hathaway convinced the director Lone Scherfig, it was perfect for the role - but the actress admits she initially doubted his ability to deal with a regional dialect.
He tells Britain's Marie Claire magazine, "I've never been so nervous in any, because I play Emma.
"There were many reasons to say no to this part. One, because I do not think I could do it. Two, I was very nervous about the Yorkshire accent."
